In the Spring ’09 semester CUA’s Center for Planning and Information Technology (CPIT) has migrated from Blackboard 6 to Blackboard 8.
As such, Mullen library has moved our electronic reserves for every class into Blackboard 8. You may now view electronic reserves for your courses at http://bb8.cua.edu/
If you have trouble using Blackboard 8, check out this information page from CPIT http://computing.cua.edu/blackboard/
If you have any questions about electronic reserves you may contact Mullen library Access Services at 202-319-5060

The University Libraries have received new copy machines. These new machines will use Cardinal Cash from your Cardinal Card or new copy cards that are now available. For a limited time, we will run the old copiers alongside the new copies where space permits. The old copy cards will continue to work on the old copy machines only.

Anyone with a Cardinal Card should be able to add value to their Cardinal Cash account using a credit card at the Cardinal Card website. First select “Manage Your Cardinal Card Account”, then select “Manage Your Account Online”. From there you should be able to log in and add value.
You can also add funds to your Cardinal Card at vending machines located in Mullen Library and the Music Library. These vending machines will also issue copy cards for visitors.

Please be aware that the new copy machines use a new type of copy card. Copy cards you had previously purchased will not work with the new machines. It is for this reason that we will continue to run some of the old copy machines for a limited time.
If you have questions or problems regarding the transition, please stop by the Information Desk on the first floor.
Thanks for you patience and cooperation!

Food for Fines
The week following Thanksgiving break, December 1 – 5, Catholic University Library will initiate a Food for Fines amnesty intended to raise non-perishable food to donate to those in need. Patrons with library fines at CUA libraries* only will be able to bring in non-perishable food items to the Mullen library circulation desk. Patrons’ fines will be forgiven $1 for every item they present to the library. In conjunction with the Campus Ministry, all food gathered will be donated to So Others Might Eat.
*Fines from other WRLC institutions do not qualify for exchange. Fees from Lost Item Replacement or Lost Item Processing do not qualify for exchange.
