Description: This book attempts to find a means of promoting cooperation between the recommendations furthered by the Nolan Report, a document that provides guidelines for handling allegations of abuse leveled against clergy members, and the Code of Canon Law of the Catholic Church. The work is organized into the following three chapters: 1. The Preliminary Investigation, 2. The Judicial Penal Process, and 3. Administrative Measures. Four appendices provide information on decrees establishing preliminary investigations, decrees concluding preliminary investigations for cases reserved to the Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith, decrees concluding the preliminary investigation in non-reserved cases, and documents to be submitted to the Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith. An index concludes the work.
