Summer 2013 Lockers Available to Graduate Students
Mullen Library will be offering a limited number of lockers to all graduate-level students for the Spring 2013 semester. Please note the following schedule and come by the Circulation Desk to check out a locker key

Monday May 20, 2013:
Lockers will be made to all graduate-level students. First come, first serve

Monday August 26, 2013:
All lockers must be cleared out and keys returned to the Circulation Desk Note: lockers cannot be renewed

Finding aid/guide for Robert T. Meyer Papers

New finding aid/collection guide available for the papers of CUA professor of Celtic Studies Robert Theodore Meyer. A native of Ohio, Meyer first came to CUA in 1947 as an instructor in German and comparative philology. He became assistant professor, then associate professor, full professor, and finally, in 1953, chair of the Celtic Studies Department. He gained the title of Professor Emeritus when he retired in 1976. His papers include his diaries, correspondence, research notes, manuscripts, and publications. Thanks to Raymond Moore for his work.

We have a new finding aid/collection guide for the Fr. Gilbert Vincent Ferrer Hartke, O.P., Collection, that, happily, coincides with the 75th anniversary of the Drama Dept. that he founded. Hartke, the ‘Show-biz Priest,’ was a legendary figure at CUA from the 1930s to the 1980s.

American Religious Responses to the Holocaust Course

The American Catholic History Research Center and University Archives and the Catholic University Department of Education announce a new professional development course for Catholic High School teachers to be held on the campus of Catholic University and at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C. The course, American Religious Responses to the Holocaust, will run from July 8-12, 2013. For details, see American Religious Responses to the Holocaust Course.

Learn more about the legendary founder of CUA’s Drama Department as we celebrate the 75th anniversary of its formation with an exhibition showcasing Father Hartke’s legacy.
