Aravind Adiga wins 2008 Man Booker Prize for White Tiger

First time novelist, Aravind Adiga, has won the 2008 Man Booker Prize for his novel White Tiger.  Other nominees for the prize were:

* The Secret Scripture by Sebastian Barry.
* Sea of Poppies by Amitav Ghosh.
* The Clothes on their Backs by Linda Grant.
* The Northern Clemency by Philip Hensher.
* A Fraction of the Whole by Steve Toltz.

All titles have been ordered for the Mullen Library collection.  CBC News, BBC News, New York Times.
