Special hours on Dec. 17th and 18th

Please note the special hours during the coming weekend:

Dec. 17th (Saturday):

  • Engineering/Architecture Library, Music Library, and Nursing/Biology Library will be CLOSED.
  • Mullen Library will be open 9am – 5pm.

Dec. 18th (Sunday):

  • All the libraries will be CLOSED.

Mullen Library is open until 2:00am during the final week of classes, and open for 24 hours during exams. Please check the schedule below for details. Campus libraries will be open regular hours.

December 9 Friday 8am – 10pm
Dec 10 – 11 Sat – Sun 9am – 2am*
December 12 Monday opens at 8am
Dec 13 – 15 Tue – Thur Open 24 Hours*
December 16 Friday Closes at 12am
December 17 Saturday 9am – 5pm

Only CUA patrons with a current Cardinal Card will admitted between Midnight and 8am during our extended hours.

Mullen Library open 24 hours during exams

During the reading / exam period Mullen Library hours will be as follows:

Saturday 12/11 9am – 2am
Sunday 12/12 9am – 2am
Monday 12/13 opens at 8am
Tuesday 12/14 open 24 hours
Wednesday 12/15 open 24 hours
Thursday 12/16 open 24 hours
Friday 12/17 closes at 12am
Saturday 12/18 9am – 5pm
Sunday 12/19 Closed

The campus libraries will operate regular hours.

Take a book home for Christmas

Before heading home for Christmas Break, why not take a few of our Popular Reading books with you?  Books taken out between now and Dec. 17 will be due Jan. 10 (first day of classes).

Our collection of  popular fiction, historical fiction, mystery and suspense, science fiction, biography, autobiography, inspiration, history, politics, and popular culture, can be found in the 2nd floor Main Reading Room in Mullen Library.

Some recent additions:

Lee Child’s Worth Dying For, Cynthia Keller’s An Amish Christmas,  John Grisham’s Confession,  Robin Cook’s Cure, James Patterson’s Cross Fire, Thaisa Frank’s Heidegger’s Glasses: a novel, and Nicholas Oster’s The Last Lingua Franca: English until the return of Babel, are some of the titles waiting for you!

If you are a PubMed user, now you can use this URL:

to access PubMed. When you find an article in PubMed, and there is full text available in our subscribed databases, PubMed will show the blue “Find It” button at the right upper corner for that article. Click the button, you will access the full text in our databases.
