National Book Critics Circle Awards Pearlman and Kasischke

The National Book Critics Circle Awards for the publishing year 2011 went to Binocular Vision by Edith Pearlman for fiction and Space, in Chains by Laura Kasischke for poetry (on order).  Other winners include: Liberty’s Exiles by Maya Jasanoff for nonfiction, George F. Kennan: An American Life by John Lewis Gaddis for biography, The Memory Palace by Mira Bartok for autobiography, and Otherwise Known as the Human Condition by Geoff Dyer for criticism.  [more info]
