Day of the Digital Humanities 2012

Today (March 27th) is Day in the Life of Digital Humanities, or Day of DH, 2012. Day of DH is a collaborative project which brings together the experiences and activities of people working in digital humanities worldwide to answer the question, “What do digital humanists actually do?” Participants blog about their day and their work, and document it with photographs. After Day of DH is over, participants comment on each other’s writings, and all the information from the project is collected to be published later.

Each year, new participants are also asked to share how they define “digital humanities.” Check out the whole list here — so far this year’s answers range from long definitions to, “You don’t [define DH].”

Wondering what DH is all about? Check out the CUA Libraries’ Digital Humanities LibGuide for DH organizations, projects (including some where you can get involved!), tools, cool links, and more! You can also follow Day of DH posts through the official website or Twitter hashtag #dayofDH.

What will you do to celebrate Day of DH?
