Have you wondered when you should use a pie chart (almost never!), a scatter plot or a heat graph? Before working on how to best present your project through data visualization, understanding the basic principles of visual perception, design and representing data, and communicating your research to an audience, is essential. We will examine some visualization methods and how best to apply them to different kinds of data.
